Coat of arms of Kraków

So, a long long time ago, way before you were born, there was a city called Kraków in a country called Poland. The people who lived in Kraków wanted to have their own special symbol that represents their city. They called this symbol a "coat of arms".

Now, the people of Kraków wanted their coat of arms to have some special things on it that were important to them. They decided on having a little white eagle with a crown on its head, standing on a red shield. They chose the white eagle because it is a very important animal in Poland and also because it is a symbol of strength and freedom.
