Cocrystal

A cocrystal is like putting two toys together so they work better than just one toy by itself.

When we have medicine, sometimes just one part of it helps our body, but sometimes we need two parts working together to make everything work perfectly. This is where a cocrystal comes in!

Scientists take two different chemicals and make them into a new, special crystal that has both of those chemicals inside of it. Just like how a puzzle fits together perfectly, the two chemicals fit together perfectly in the cocrystal.

This new crystal is really useful because it means we can have medicine that works better for us or even new kinds of medicine that we didn't have before! It's like making a new toy with all the best parts from two other toys.
