Code of Offences and Penalties

Okay, so let's pretend you have a friend who always takes your toys without asking. That's not very nice, right? Well, imagine if there were rules that said you shouldn't take someone else's toys without asking first. These rules are called a "code of offences" - they tell us what we're not supposed to do so we can all get along together.

Now, let's say your friend keeps taking your toys even though you've told them not to. The code of offences might have a punishment - or "penalty" - for this kind of behavior. Maybe your friend will have to give you back the toys they took or say sorry to you.

The code of offences and penalties works the same way for grown-ups too. There are rules about what people can and can't do - like don't steal or hurt other people. And, just like when you're a kid, there are consequences if you break those rules. For example, you might have to pay a fine or even go to jail if you do something really bad.

The idea behind the code of offences and penalties is to help keep people safe and happy. When we all follow the rules and respect each other's space and belongings, the world can be a better place for everyone.
