Code of Practices for Television Broadcasters

A code of practices is a set of rules that television broadcasters follow to make sure that their shows are respectful and appropriate for all audiences.

Imagine you are in a classroom with your friends and teacher. Your teacher has some rules, like raising your hand before speaking and not talking over others. These rules help everyone get along and learn without anyone getting hurt or upset.

Similarly, broadcasters have rules to follow before they show their programs on TV. These rules help protect children from seeing and hearing things that may not be appropriate for them.

For example, if a TV show has some bad words or violence, it may be shown later at night when most kids are asleep. The broadcaster also needs to make sure the show is friendly for everyone, regardless of race, religion, or gender.

These rules are important because TV shows can be seen by lots of people all over the world. So, the code of practices makes sure that everyone can enjoy TV shows without being offended or hurt in any way.
