ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Coercive logic

Coercive logic is when someone tries to make you do something by making you feel like you don't have a choice. It's like when a parent says, "eat your vegetables or you won't get dessert" or when a friend says, "if you don't come to my party, I won't be your friend anymore."

It can sometimes feel like the person using coercive logic is making you do something you don't want to do. However, it's important to remember that you always have a choice and it's okay to say no. It's important for people to communicate their wants and needs in a respectful way, without using coercion or making others feel like they don't have a choice.
