Colbertism

Colbertism is an economic system named after French banker Jean-Baptiste Colbert. Colbertism is based on the idea that the government should protect and even encourage industry. This means that the government gives money and support to businesses, along with other policies, like laws that support industry in the country. This system helps promote economic growth and is used by many countries around the world.
