Okay kiddo, let's pretend you have a sandbox full of rocks and dirt. You know how sometimes water can make the sand really wet and make a big puddle? The same thing can happen in nature with big rocks and dirt.
Sometimes, dirt and little rocks (we call it "colluvium") get pushed together and fill up a hole or dent in a big rock. When this happens, it's called a "bedrock hollow" because the big rock looks like it's got a hole in it.
So basically, imagine if you have a big rock in your sandbox, but the bottom part is dug out and filled with sand and little rocks - that's what a colluvium-filled bedrock hollow looks like in nature!
