Colonial Revival architecture

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen really fancy old buildings that look like they came from a long time ago? Colonial revival architecture is when people build new buildings that look just like those old fancy ones from a long time ago.

A long time ago, people in America built buildings in a style called colonial. That was a long time ago, but some people still like the way those old buildings looked. So they started building new buildings that looked just the same, but with new materials like cement instead of wood.

These new buildings are like a pretend version of the old ones, but they are still pretty and people like them because they remind them of a time long ago. That's what colonial revival architecture is all about!
