Colonial Williamsburg
Colonial Williamsburg is like a big pretend town where you can go back in time to learn about how people lived a really long time ago, when our country was first being created. The people who work there dress up in old-fashioned clothes and act like they are living in the past.
There are lots of different buildings you can visit, like a blacksmith's shop where you can see how they made things out of metal a long time ago, or a bakery where they make bread the old-fashioned way. There are also big old houses that you can go inside and see how people used to live, with things like old furniture and clothes from a long time ago.
There are also people who pretend to be important people from the past, like George Washington, who was the first president of the United States. They give little speeches and answer questions about what life was like in the past.
