The Colorado Silver Boom happened in the late 19th century when people who lived in Colorado (a state in the USA) realized there was a lot of silver hidden underground. Miners started digging, and soon found large amounts of silver buried in the ground. This caused a rush of people, like a stampede of horses, rushing to Colorado to try to find the valuable silver. People were able to get rich by finding and selling it. All this digging and trading created a lot of jobs and money, which helped to grow the economy of Colorado.
