Colored fire

So when we make a fire, it usually looks yellow, orange or red-orange. But sometimes people want to make the fire look different colors like blue, green, or purple. They can do this by adding certain chemicals to the fire.

These chemicals are called "pyrotechnic compounds" and they burn with different colors depending on what kinds of chemicals you use. For example, if you add copper chloride to the fire, it will burn green, and if you add strontium chloride, it will burn a deep red.

The chemicals need to be added carefully though because they can be dangerous if not handled correctly. It's important to follow safety rules and only add the chemicals in small amounts.

Now you might be wondering, "Why do people want to make colored fire?" Well, sometimes it's just for fun, like at fireworks shows. Other times it can be used for signaling or to add a special effect to a theatrical performance.

Overall, colored fire is just a way to make regular fires more exciting and interesting to look at!
