Colored gold

Gold is a type of metal that is usually yellow in color. But sometimes, people want to make it look different colors, like pink, green, or even blue. They do this by mixing gold with other metals.

For example, if they mix gold with copper, which is a reddish metal, they can make pink gold. If they mix gold with silver, which is a whitish metal, they can make green gold. And if they mix gold with iron or chromium, which are both metals that can be blue, they can make blue gold.

The amount of other metals they mix in changes the color of the gold. Some of the mixtures can also change the properties of the gold, like how strong it is or how easy it is to work with.

So, colored gold is just regular gold that has been mixed with other metals to make it look different colors.
