Colours, standards and guidons

Do you know what colors are? They are the pretty shades we see all around us like red, blue, green, etc. Colors are used to help us tell things apart, like the red apple from the green apple.

Now imagine there are some special groups of people, like soldiers or people who work for the government. These people want to have their own special colors that represent them and help them to be recognized. They make these colors into little flags called standards or guidons.

Standards and guidons have certain rules they have to follow. For example, they have to be a certain size and shape and have specific colors on them. These are called standards and guidelines that everyone in the group follows.

Now, why do they need these special colors and standards? It is to help them work together as a team. When they see their special colors, they know that they are part of their group and they can trust each other. It's like having a special badge that shows you are a firefighter or a police officer.

So, in short, colors are pretty shades that help us tell things apart, standards and guidons are little flags that are made to represent special groups, and they have rules to follow. These special colors and flags help the group members to recognize each other and work together as a team.
