Cominform

Cominform (The Communist Information Bureau) was an organization of Communist parties from different countries from 1947 to 1956. It was set up by countries like the Soviet Union, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Czechoslovakia, who shared a belief in communist ideas and wanted to work together. The purpose of Cominform was to spread these ideas and to support one another. Cominform also tried to make sure that all the countries were on the same page when it came to policies, helping to keep communist ideas consistent across the world. Cominform was eventually disbanded in 1956, after disagreements between some of its members over how they wanted to handle certain issues.
