ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Communal property

Communal property is like a toy that belongs to everyone in a group. Imagine you’re playing with your friends and you all share a toy. No one person owns the toy, but you all have equal rights to use it.

The grown-up version of this is communal property. It's when a group of people owns something together and shares it equally. This could be a piece of land, a building, or even a company.

People who own communal property work together to take care of it, and they each have a say in how it’s used. It’s like having a big family where everyone shares everything equally.

For example, in some places like Native American reservations, the land is owned by the community and not by one person. Everyone in the community can use the land for farming, hunting, or other purposes.

Communal property is one way people work together to make sure everyone has what they need and that everyone is treated fairly.
