Municipalization

Municipalization is when a city takes control of something that was previously owned by a private company. For example, if a private company owns a water system, municipalization would mean that the city would take ownership of it and manage it themselves. This means that the city has more control over how the water system works, and it can set prices and rules for how the water is used. The main benefit of municipalization is that it puts decisions about water usage in the hands of the people, rather than in the hands of a private company.
