Community Alliance for the Ethical Treatment of Youth
Hey kiddo! So, have you heard of a group of people who come together to make sure that kids are treated well and not hurt in any way? That’s called the Community Alliance for the Ethical Treatment of Youth or CAETY, for short. They are like superheroes who work to make sure that every child is safe and happy!
Now, let me explain to you how CAETY works. You know how we have rules at home that we need to follow, like not hurting others, telling the truth and respecting our elders? CAETY works with many people to make sure that these rules are followed everywhere, especially in places like schools, foster homes or juvenile detention centers where kids might feel unsafe.
CAETY members are different types of people who care about kids like parents, teachers, doctors, lawyers, and many more. They meet together to talk about how to make sure that every kid is treated fairly and kindly. They go to places where kids might be mistreated, and speak with the people who work there. They also raise awareness about why we need to treat kids well and teach others that it is not okay to be unkind to kids.
