ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Community-based conservation

Community-based conservation is when people (like you and me) work together to help protect nature and the animals that live in it. It means that instead of just one person (or organization) taking care of a natural area, many people work together to make sure that the animals and plants that call that area home are safe and healthy. This could mean going on a community clean-up day to pick up trash and make sure the area looks nice, or it could mean talking to local lawmakers to make sure we keep laws and regulations that help protect nature. It's about working together, in our communities, to make sure our natural areas stay healthy!
