Compass (drawing tool)

Okay, kiddo! Have you ever seen a compass like the one we use when we go on hikes or camping? It helps us find our way in a place that we may not be familiar with.

Well, a compass drawing tool is similar to that but it helps us draw circles and arcs (like a part of a circle) that are really perfect and round. It is made up of two main parts: the pointy end and the pencil end.

The pointy end has a sharp part that we can stick into a piece of paper or cardboard to keep the compass still while we draw the circle. We have to hold the other end with our hand so it doesn't move around. The pencil end is where we attach a pencil or pen to make a perfect circle or arc.

We use the compass for many things like drawing circles for arts and crafts, creating patterns and designs, and even in math class to learn about geometry.

So, just like a compass helps us find our way on a hike, the compass drawing tool helps us find our way when we want to draw perfect circles and arcs. Cool, huh?
