Okay kiddo, did you know that sometimes our feelings and thoughts can be so mixed up and confusing that it's hard to even understand them ourselves? That's where the word "complex" comes in in psychology.
A complex is like a big knot in our mind, made up of lots of different ideas and emotions that are all tangled together. It's like when you try to untangle a knot in your hair, it can be very hard to figure out where one strand ends and another begins.
People might have complexes about things like feeling insecure, angry, or sad. When we have a complex, it can make us feel overwhelmed and like we can't make sense of our own thoughts and feelings.
But the good news is that we can work on untangling our complexes with the help of a therapist or by learning about our emotions and working to understand them better. It takes time and effort, just like untangling a knot, but we can feel a lot better once we do!
