Freudian psychology

Okay kiddo, let me tell you about Freudian psychology.

Sigmund Freud was a man who lived a long time ago and he was really interested in why people do the things they do. He believed that there were three parts to our minds: the Id, the Ego and the Superego.

The Id is like a little voice in our head that tells us to do things that feel good, even if they might not be the best thing for us. It's kind of like the part of us that wants to eat all the candy in the house even though we know we shouldn't.

The Ego is like the middleman between the Id and the Superego. It tries to make decisions that are good for us in the long run, even if it means we don't get to do everything we want right away. It's kind of like the part of us that thinks twice before eating all the candy and decides to only have a little bit instead.

The Superego is like a little voice in our head that tells us what is right and wrong. It's the part of us that knows that eating too much candy isn't good for us and that we should make good choices.

Freud also believed that our childhood experiences can shape our personalities and behaviors as adults. He thought that our early relationships with our parents could have a big impact on how we see ourselves and the world around us.

Overall, Freudian psychology is a way of understanding how the different parts of our minds work together and how our past experiences can influence who we are as people.
