Compression garment

Okay kiddo, have you ever worn a really tight shirt or pair of pants that squeezes everything in and makes you feel like a superhero? That's kind of what a compression garment is like, but it's designed specifically to help with things like swelling, sore muscles, or poor blood circulation.

Basically, it's a special type of clothing that is made out of stretchy material that is designed to compress or put pressure on different parts of your body. Imagine if you had a balloon and you squeezed it really tight in the middle - it would make the parts above and below the squeezed part look smaller, right?

Well, a compression garment does something similar. When you wear it, it can help to reduce swelling (like if you had a sprained ankle), improve blood flow (which is good if you have a condition like varicose veins), and even help your muscles recover more quickly after a workout.

Some people might wear compression garments for specific activities, like runners who wear compression socks to support their legs while they're running. Others might wear them all day long for medical reasons. But whether you're wearing them to improve your performance or to help with a health condition, the principle is the same - the compression garment applies gentle pressure to different parts of your body to help you feel better.
