ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Computable number

Okay kiddo, have you ever counted numbers on your fingers? Like, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... and so on? Those are called natural numbers.

Now, there are some numbers that are not so easy to count on our fingers, like 1/3 or √2. These numbers can be a bit tricky to work with.

But there is something called a computable number, which is a fancy way of saying that we can calculate or figure out that number using a computer.

Computable numbers are like a secret code that the computer can understand and solve for. It's like a game of "guess the number", but we can use math to actually figure out what that number is.

So, to sum it up, a computable number is a special kind of number that a computer can understand and calculate even if it's not easy for us to work with.
