ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Computational physics

Computational physics is a type of science where scientists use computers to help them do experiments and learn about the physical world. Instead of having to conduct experiments in a physical lab, computations can run calculations and simulations to learn more about how things work. Computers are used to study things like how particles move and interact, how energy behaves, and how fast things travel. Computational physics is used in many areas, like predicting the weather and designing new medicines.
