Concept-based image indexing

Concept-based image indexing is a way of organizing images. It uses what computers call "concepts," which are ideas and words that describe what is in an image. For example, a picture of a beach would have the concepts "sand," "ocean," and "sun." An image indexing system would be able to recognize these concepts in the image and put the image into different groups or categories. This helps people find images quickly, since they can search using the concepts associated with the images.
