A confidence region is an area on a graph that is used to show something you know with a certain amount of confidence. For example, if you conduct some experiments and they make you think that a certain number is correct, you can draw a confidence region to make it easier to show. To draw a confidence region, you draw a circle around the number that you think is right, then draw lines out of the circle and measure the size of the circle. The size of the circle tells you the amount of confidence you have in the number being correct.
