Linear regression

Linear Regression is like a game, where you try to make a straight line that goes through a bunch of points. To play the game, you try to make a line that goes as close to all the points as possible. In the end, you'll have a line that is as close to all the points as it can be. That line is your linear regression. In real life, people use linear regression to learn more about how different things are related--like how temperature affects the number of ice cream cones sold. People can tell the line where the most ice cream is sold just by looking at the line they made.
