Conflagration

Okay, so you know how when you play with fire, sometimes it gets really big and spreads out really fast? Well, when that happens on a really big scale, it's called a conflagration.

It's like when you go to the beach and build a sandcastle. If you knock down one side of the sandcastle, it might not be a big deal and you can just fix it. But if a huge wave comes and knocks down the whole sandcastle, that's a conflagration of your sandcastle.

Now, imagine that instead of a sandcastle, it's a whole bunch of buildings and trees and things like that. If a fire starts and it's not contained, it can grow and spread really quickly and become a big, dangerous conflagration. It can be very hard for firefighters to stop it from spreading and putting it out can take a long time.

So, a conflagration is kind of like a big, out-of-control fire that can be very dangerous and hard to stop.
