Confucian temple

Confucian temples are special buildings where people go to honor and worship Confucius, who was a very wise teacher that lived a long, long time ago in China. Think of Confucian temples as a place where people go to say "thank you” to him for all his great teachings and to ask for his blessings.

The temples have many rooms and areas where people can do different things. There is usually a main hall where people can offer incense sticks and bow respectfully to show their respect and gratitude towards Confucius.

Inside the main hall, there is a statue of Confucius, which is like a big toy made of bronze or stone, and it looks just like him. People bring offerings such as fruits, rice, and other foods that Confucius enjoyed during his lifetime, and they place them in front of the statue as a way to show their respect and gratitude.

Many Confucian temples are also famous for their beautiful gardens, which are very big outdoor spaces with lots of trees, flowers, ponds, and fountains. People come here to relax, meditate, and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Furthermore, Confucian temples offer courses to people who want to learn more about Confucius and his teachings. These courses are also held in special classrooms or conference rooms inside the temple.

In summary, a Confucian temple is a special place where people go to worship Confucius, offer him thanks and blessings, and learn about his teachings. It is a peaceful, beautiful place where people can connect with history and nature, and reflect on the wisdom of this great Chinese teacher.
