Conjugated microporous polymer

Conjugated microporous polymers are special kinds of materials made from polymer molecules that are connected to each other. They are often used to make things like filters and separators for liquids and gases. They are very useful because the tiny holes, or "pores", in the polymers help keep liquids and gases separate, and allow them to pass through easily. The tiny holes also help trap and store different types of molecules.
