A conjunctive query is a type of question used to get information from a computer. It is a "yes or no" type of question that can be used to find out if two different pieces of information are connected. For example you could use a conjunctive query to find out if two people are married or not. You can also use a conjunctive query to ask if someone lives in a certain city, or if somebody owns a certain type of car. The computer looks at the information it already has and then gives you a "yes" answer if the two pieces of information are connected and a "no" answer if they are not.
