The singularity is when, because of changes in technology, computers become so much smarter than people that they start to make advances in science and technology faster than people can. It's like if people gave computers a jump start to teach themselves and get smarter at super fast speeds that people can't keep up with. It's a bit like a futuristic world to imagine but it's something that some scientists say might become true in the future.
