Conquest

Conquest is when someone or a group of people take over land or territory that belongs to someone else. This happens a lot in history books when we're learning about different countries and their wars. Think of it like playing a game where you need to capture someone else's castle or land. People who conquer land do it because they want to control it, and sometimes they believe that the land belongs to them, or they think it's better for them to have it. When someone conquers land, they usually take control of the people who live there too, and they might change the rules and the way of life for those people. Sometimes conquest can be peaceful, where the people who own the land agree to share it or give it up, but it can also be very violent and hurtful.
