You know how when you drink juice or soda, it comes in a bottle or a jar? That's called a container and the ones that are made of glass are called container glass.
Container glass is made from special sand called silica mixed with other things like soda ash and limestone. These things are melted at a really hot temperature in a big furnace called a glass tank.
Then, the melted glass is taken out of the furnace and put into molds that give them their shape. The molds are like big cookie cutters that make the glass into the right shape for bottles, jars, or other things.
After the glass cools off, it's ready to be used as a container! But before we can put juice or soda into the glass container, it needs to be cleaned and checked for cracks or other problems.
Once the container is safe to use, we can fill it up with delicious drinks and enjoy them! And since glass containers are recyclable, we can use them again and again to help keep our environment clean!
