Continuant

Continuant is a fancy word that means something that keeps going on and on without stopping completely. For example, when you blow a balloon, the air inside the balloon keeps going and doesn't stop until there is no air left in the balloon. So air inside the balloon is a continuant because it keeps going on and on. Another example of a continuant is music. When you play a song, it keeps playing until you stop it. The sound of the music keeps going and doesn't stop completely, so it's a continuant. In other words, continuant means something that is ongoing, continuous, or persistent without completely stopping or coming to an end.
