Continuum percolation theory

Continuum percolation theory is a way to predict how particles of different sizes interact when they are mixed together. It's like mixing sand, pebbles, and rocks in a jar: how will they interact? We can use continuum percolation theory to figure that out. Basically, it takes data about the sizes and shapes of the particles, and then uses math to predict how the particles will act. It can tell us how easily particles will flow through the mix, and also where bigger particles (like the rocks) will be located in the mix.
