Control unit

A control unit is like a traffic policeman. It helps control and direct all the other parts of a computer to make sure everything works together. Think of it like a conductor inside the computer that runs the show. In the same way a conductor of an orchestra helps the musicians play in the same rhythm, the control unit helps all the parts of the computer work together at the same time. It also helps keep track of what is going on in the computer and makes sure that everything is working as it should be.
