Conway–Maxwell–Poisson distribution

The Conway–Maxwell–Poisson (CMP) distribution is used to model data that has a lot of occurrences of the same value but not many occurrences of other values. It's like a mix between the Poisson distribution (which is used to model data with a lot of small numbers) and the normal (or Gaussian) distribution (which is used to model data that has a lot of medium numbers and some large numbers). With the CMP distribution, you can model data with a lot of small numbers and a few large numbers.
