ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Coordinated vulnerability disclosure

Vulnerability disclosure is when someone finds a flaw or bug in something, like a website or a piece of software or hardware. Coordinated vulnerability disclosure is when the person who finds the bug and the owner of the website or device work together to fix the bug. First, the person who found the bug lets the owner know about it. Then the owner works with them to fix the bug and make sure it won't happen again. This helps keep websites and devices secure and helps prevent people from taking advantage of the bugs and hurting others.
