Coppicing

Coppicing is a type of farming technique that has been used for hundreds of years. It is a way to get wood from trees without cutting them down. Instead, the tree is cut back to the trunk and then grows back with lots of branches that can be cut for wood. This way, the tree can be used like a renewable resource - it will keep growing back over and over again, so it never runs out. Coppicing can also help keep the tree healthy by getting rid of its old branches and letting new, healthier ones grow in their place.
