Have you ever noticed a small arrow or other shape on your computer screen that moves around when you move your mouse? That little arrow or shape is called a cursor. It helps you point at things on the screen and click on them.
Sometimes, you might want to copy some text or a picture from one place to another on your computer. For example, if you find a really cool picture online and you want to put it in a document you are writing, you can use the copy cursor to do that.
Let's say you are reading a webpage and you see a sentence you really like. You can move your mouse cursor over the sentence, then press and hold the left button on your mouse. While you are holding the button, drag your mouse across the sentence to highlight it. You will see the sentence getting darker or a little box appearing around it. This means you have selected the sentence.
Once you have selected the sentence, you can let go of the left mouse button. Now, you can copy it! Press the right mouse button, and a small menu will pop up. Move your cursor over the word "Copy" and click it. This will make a copy of the sentence.
Now, let's say you have opened a document in a different program where you want to put this sentence. Move your cursor to where you want the sentence to be, then press the right mouse button again. This time, move your cursor over the word "Paste" and click it. The sentence you copied will appear in the document!
So, the copy cursor is like a special tool that helps you select and make copies of things on your computer screen. It allows you to move things from one place to another, just like you might move a toy from one part of your room to another.
