ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Copy testing

Hello little one! I'm going to teach you about something called "copy testing". This is a way to check if an advertisement or promotional content is good before it's shown to lots of people.

Imagine someone made a drawing but before they showed it to everyone, they wanted to make sure it looked really good. Copy testing is kinda like that, but with advertisements.

When companies make advertisements, they want people to like them and buy their products. So, they test their ads to see if they are well-written and will be effective. A group of people called "testers" look at the ad and give feedback on things like whether they understood the message, if the ad made sense, or if it was boring or exciting.

The testers can give different ratings to the ad to help the company know if they need to make some changes or not. This way, the company doesn't waste money by showing an advertisement that people may not like or understand.

So, copy testing helps companies be sure that their advertisements will work, and will be successful at selling their products. That's it in a nutshell, little one!
