Coral reef protection

A coral reef is a big group of living things called corals that live together in the ocean. Corals are like tiny animals that eat tiny floating things in the water. They build big rock-like structures around themselves for protection, and that's how reefs are formed.

Coral reefs are important because they provide a home for many other animals like fish, sea turtles, and crabs. They are also important to people because they provide us with food, medicine, and protection from storms.

Unfortunately, coral reefs are in danger because of things that people are doing, like pollution and overfishing. When people pollute the oceans, it can make the water dirty and harm the corals. When people fish too much, they can take away the animals that the corals need to survive.

To protect coral reefs, we need to be careful with what we put into the oceans and how much we fish. We can also work to protect coral reefs by planting new corals and creating areas where they can thrive without being harmed.

If we take care of coral reefs, we can help protect the animals that live there, help ourselves, and keep the oceans healthy for everyone.
