Correspondence theory of truth

The correspondence theory of truth is like a puzzle. When we say something is true, it means that it matches or corresponds with reality, just like how the puzzle piece fits perfectly into its place. In other words, truth is when what we say about the world matches up with what is actually happening in the world.

For example, if someone says "The sky is blue", that statement is true because it corresponds with what we can see in reality. The sky really is blue, so the statement matches up with reality.

However, if someone were to say "The sky is made of chocolate", that statement would not be true because it does not correspond with reality. We know the sky is not made of chocolate, so the statement does not match up with what is actually happening in the world.

So basically, the correspondence theory of truth is all about making sure that what we say matches up with what is happening in the world around us. It's like putting the right puzzle piece in the right spot - if it fits perfectly, then it's true!
