The scientific method is a way to answer questions and find out more about the world. It is like an organized way to solve problems.
First, you start by asking a question about something you want to know more about, like why does it snow?
Next, you try to figure out an answer by researching other people's ideas. This is called gathering information.
Then, you come up with a guess or an idea about why it snows (called a hypothesis).
Next, you test your hypothesis by doing an experiment. This is where you collect data (information) on your experiment, like how much snow falls in different places.
Finally, you look at all the data you collected and decide if your hypothesis was right or not. If your guess was right, you can explain why it snows. If your guess was wrong, you can try to come up with another guess.
That's the scientific method!
