The Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) is a score that measures how corrupt countries are perceived to be. It looks at how people around the world think about the level of corruption in countries. The score is based on surveys of people who live in each country and these surveys ask questions about things like bribery, access to public services, and how much people think the government is doing to stop corruption. The CPI gives each country a score between zero and one hundred, and zero means a lot of corruption and one hundred means almost no corruption. The countries with the highest scores are seen as the least corrupt.
