The Global Peace Index (GPI) is a number that measures how peaceful different countries are. Every year, the GPI looks at different things to figure out how peaceful countries are. It looks at things like the amount of violence and crime in the country, how much conflict there is between different groups of people in the country, and how much trust there is between people. Then, the GPI gives each country a score. The higher the score, the more peaceful the country is. Some countries have high scores, which means they're very peaceful, while other countries have low scores, which means they're not so peaceful. By looking at the GPI, we can see which countries are the most peaceful so we can work on making the world a more peaceful place.
