Ok kiddo, so let me tell you about the Council of Chalcedon. It happened a long, long time ago in the year 451 AD. People in those times believed in something called Christianity, but there were differences on what they believed about Jesus. Some thought he was a human, others thought he was a divine being.
The Council of Chalcedon was a big meeting held by Christian leaders to try and solve this disagreement. It was kind of like a family meeting to talk about a problem, except instead of just people from the same family, leaders from all over the world came to the meeting.
The main topic they talked about was how Jesus can be both human and divine at the same time. They came up with a very important statement called the Chalcedonian Creed. This statement said that Jesus is both fully God and fully man, and that both of these natures were united into one.
It basically means that Jesus is like an amazing superhero who can be in two different places at once! He can be on Earth as a human, but at the same time he's in Heaven as a divine being. The statement from the Council of Chalcedon helped people better understand their beliefs about Jesus, and cleared up a lot of confusion.
