Council on Wage and Price Stability

The Council on Wage and Price Stability is a group of grown-ups who work for the government. They want to make sure that the prices and the money people get paid are fair.

Imagine you and your friend, Sarah, both work at the same place, but Sarah gets paid much more than you do even though you both do the same work. That's not fair, right? The Council on Wage and Price Stability are like grown-up helpers who try to make sure bosses don't do that sort of thing.

They also try to make sure that the things you buy don't cost too much. You know how sometimes you go to the grocery store with your dad and he says, "Wow, this is expensive!" The Council on Wage and Price Stability tries to make sure that doesn't happen too much by keeping prices for things fair.

So, in summary, the Council on Wage and Price Stability is a group of grown-ups who work for the government and try to make sure that people get paid fairly and things don't cost too much.
