ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Count noun

Okay kiddo, a count noun is a thing you can count like blocks or crayons or apples. These things are separate from each other and you can count them one by one. For example, if we have five crayons, we can count them by saying "one crayon, two crayons, three crayons, four crayons, five crayons." Count nouns are different from non-count nouns like water or sand, which can't be counted individually because they're all the same thing.
